The School of Economics School is pleased to offer Centenary Scholarship for international students. The scholarship is available for students who excel academically to undertake a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Queensland.
University aim is to deliver high-quality teaching in an intellectually stimulating environment. Their highly awarded teaching and research staff include some of the most internationally respected researchers.
The UQ School of Economics is Queensland’s largest, most experienced and influential economics school. The programme focuses on resource allocation and decision making.
Applicant must have IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6.
Deadline: 11th November 2016 for Semester 1, 2017
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing bachelor programme.
Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded for studying the subjects offered at the School of Economics.

Scholarship Award: Scholarship will comprise 100% tuition costs for three years, an AUD 20,000 living allowance per year, a single return airfare from the student’s country of residence, and a one off book allowance of AUD 500.
Eligibility: -Students must have completed Cambridge International A levels (min aggregate 15/17.5) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme (min 40);
-Students who have an unconditional offer for the Bachelor of Economics commencing at UQ in 2015;
-Applied for a single degree for the Bachelor of Economics
Nationality: International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicant must have Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) English, Mathematics.
English Language Requirement: To meet the UQ’s English language proficiency requirements, applicants must demonstrate one of the following:
-a score equivalent to four semesters of Sound Achievement in Queensland Studies Authority English or Australian or international equivalent. Less than four semesters may be considered for some programmes.
-at least 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-band of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent test. Some programmes have higher English proficiency requirements; see individual programme requirements.
-Other equivalent tests such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic are also accepted and other qualifications and experience may also be considered.
-Study Abroad and Incoming Exchange students are only required to meet the overall score (eg 6.5 IELTS or 87 TOEFL or 64 PTE).
