Newcastle University ASEAN Scholarships for Masters Students in UK, 2016
Newcastle University is offering ASEAN scholarships in 2016-2017 academic year. The scholarships are available for postgraduate master’s degree programmes.
Newcastle University’s aim is to be a world-class research-intensive university and deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality.
University is governed by a number of statutory bodies. The executive board comprises the senior management team that has oversight of the day-to-day running of the university.
Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a postgraduate master’s degree programme at Newcastle University at the time of applying for this scholarship. Applicants need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University.
Applicants will need to provide a recognized English language test or qualification unless they are exempt. This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing masters degree level at Newcastle University.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided to learn any of the courses offered by the Newcastle University.
Scholarship Award: Scholarship has a value of £3,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

Eligibility: In order to apply for one of these scholarships applicants must satisfy all of the following conditions:
-Applicants must be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore or Brunei
-Applicants must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a postgraduate Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship
-Applicants must have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes
-Applicants must intend to register to start their studies during the 2016-17 academic year
-Applicants must be a self-funded student and not be in receipt of any other centrally awarded Newcastle University scholarship
Nationality: The students of Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei can apply for these scholarships.
