The Melbourne Law School is accepting applications for Charles-Lim Capital Asia Leaders Scholarship. This scholarship is available for the students to pursue three-year Juris Doctor (JD) degree at Melbourne Law School.

The University of Melbourne is a public research university located in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1853, it is Australia’s second oldest university and the oldest in Victoria.
Students must meet the English language requirements of the University to be eligible for a place. As an undergraduate or graduate student, they can satisfy the English language requirements in a number of ways depending on their circumstances.
Course Level: Scholarship is available pursuing Juris Doctor (JD) degree programme.
Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of law.
Scholarship Award: The value of the scholarship is $25,000 AUD per year for three years, for a total of $75,000 AUD.
Number of Scholarships: One scholarship will be awarded to a student commencing the Melbourne JD (Juris Doctor) Program in 2018.

Eligibility:
- Open to students who are commencing the Melbourne JD and citizens of the following countries/regions: Brunei, Cambodia, China Mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
- Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia are not eligible.
Nationality: Citizens of the following countries/regions: Brunei, Cambodia, China Mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam are eligible to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants to the Melbourne JD must hold an undergraduate degree in a discipline other than law, or a law degree from a different legal system.
Test Requirement: As part of the application process for the Melbourne JD, applicants need to register for, and sit, the LSAT administered by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). It is an independent, international written test, designed to measure aptitude for graduate legal study. It focuses on reading and verbal reasoning skills, and no knowledge of the law is required.

How to Apply: Applicants must firstly have submitted an application for the Juris Doctor by the application deadline of 1 November for commencement the following year. Applicants who wish to be considered for this scholarship must also complete the scholarship application by the 1 November.
