What?
The BOF Doctoral Fund provides funding for PhD fellowships. The fellowships have an initial duration of two years and are renewable for a second period of two years after a positive evaluation at the end of the second year. This evaluation will be based upon the progress report, produced by the candidate, for the doctoral committee and the doctoral committee’s advice (cf. section 11. Doctoral regulations).
Within the Doctoral fund programme you can apply for fellowships with the standard duration of 2×2 years. However applications for shorter periods can also be submitted.
Candidates for the BOF doctoral fund are asked to apply for FWO funding or with another institute for external funding. The deadline for FWO applications (PhD and postdoc) is 1. February 2016, 17h. More information is available on the FWO website.
Who?
This programme is open to applicants (without restriction to gender, nationality or age) who want to prepare their PhD in the following faculties/schools:
- Medicine and Life Sciences
- Sciences
- Law
- Business Economics
- School for Transportation Sciences.
- Architecture and arts
- Engineering technology
Applications?
The applications must be submitted by the PhD-candidate with an UHasselt promoter (who can act as promoter cf. section 9 of the UHasselt doctoral regulations), using the application form.
